Where does the ivory go?
The answer is: China.
Between the year of 1989 and 2011 the chinese customs
seized more than 88 300 kg ivory.
And that's just the tip of the iceberg.
During the same period of time, Thai Customs seized 23 550 kg ivory.
China is the biggest import country.
China
Tanzania is the biggest export country.
The illegal wildlife trade is annually worth more than
19 billion US dollars.
The Western Black Rhino was declared extinct in 2013.
Don't let this happen to the elephants as well.
